The history of beluga lentils dates back to 4000 BC. It is based on the Nile river and Anatolia-Mesopotamia between 6,000 and 8000. Beluga lentils, named after beluga caviar, which it resembles in appearance, is an ideal nutrient store and a source of complex carbohydrates, just like other lentils.
